We are all guilty, myself certainly included, in comparing ourselves to others. In reality, the only person we should be comparing ourselves to is ourselves.

Amy Morin hits a bullseye with this quote. Are you better than you were yesterday? Better might be too harsh of a word but I think you get the point. We all define better differently but if you do an internal inventory you’ll instinctively know the areas you want to improve in. Use that as a starting point and do one thing, no matter how small, to work towards that improvement.

Drink one less pop (yes pop, not soda), walk for 5 minutes, take the stairs, laugh more, hug a loved one, write 3 things you’re grateful for, drink more water, gaze at the beauty of nature (yes, even with -30 degree wind chills it’s still beautiful), do 5 push ups, run to get the mail, go to bed 30 minutes early tonight, write a love letter to your spouse, the possibilities are endless!

If your health and wellness is part of that internal inventory I would welcome the opportunity to work with you. To find out if a functional medicine approach to health and wellness is right for you, please book your free consultation with me here.

Enjoy this beautiful day everyone – it only happens once!
